people often speak of what they do not know...we are all guilty of this, we are all victim. we all want to be a part of something, a collective, a group, a movement...even if we don't have the understanding or knowledge to be rightfully part. we are quick to assume, quick to judge, quick to attack...when conditions aren't favorable to our nature. i could never hold hate and prejudice in my heart to a person i've never met...who's story i've never been told. love will find a way. love will keep us all alive.

coexist was the first album on vinyl i ever bought...wouldn't have had it any other way.

got hit by a car today on my bike...flashes.

the first polaroid i ever took. my family and i had stayed in an old rent house on top of a grassy hill the whole summer. i kind of miss that cozy little room i had. i wrote most of the alive ep in that room. the blue walls always reminded me of the sky.

today i went out to lake bryan with a couple of friends. we planned to throw some barbecue on a grill somewhere but realized we only brought lawn chairs, a jukebox, and a frisbee. it ended up being a good day anyway. being unprepared and unplanned actually made for a better trip. i loved the water there...so calm. the clay on the shores felt like the play-doh we all used to mess with as kids. the sky was pretty crazy today too, really nice sunset over the water. i wouldn't mind having a picnic there someday.
